I am in Winona, Minnesota, for AC’s family reunion. The weather has been hot and a little rainy but we got a nice swim in the lake today. Last night we went to Steamboat Days in downtown Winona and I got to experience the beer tent/beverage garden. I am so used to New Orleans where bars are open 24/7 and you can walk around everywhere with your open container, so when I see binge drinking happen in order to compensate for last call, I am surprised.

Ahh culture shock at the other end of the Mississippi.

We’re going to watch the Twins game in a few minutes; it’s been great to see them on television instead of through MLB.com. Don’t forget to VOTE JOE! :)
